Our Purpose

Life is a complicated tapestry of joy and pain, fulfilling in many moments and disappointing in others.  At First Baptist Church of Blue Grass, we believe that all of us are on a journey of sorts.  At some point along the path we travel, we begin asking some questions: Why Am I Here?, Where Am I Going? Which Route Is Best?

At this point in life, a search begins for meaning, purpose, significance and acceptance.  At it's core, this search is spiritual, a time for transformation, a person can be open to a real encounter with a real God.  Every person is different, and no two people are at the same stage in their spiritual quest.  At First Baptist Church of Blue Grass, we strive to provide an environment where every individual can be transformed at their own pace.

Jesus modeled a different standard, and by His words and actions He calls us to live life on the edge of a new kind of kingdom.  Where people are real, forgiveness is available, and right living is a promise not an empty statement.  First Baptist Church of Blue Grass seeks to enable individuals to live as authentic real people, a community without hidden agendas, where your life can be transformed in to the future God has called you to.  Spend some time with us and start this journey of transformation for your life.
